It Started as a Freelance Journalist's Personal Blog
Kabar Cirebon was started by Agus Setiawan, a former freelance journalist who often saw Cirebon's local news lose out to national issues in the big media. He began writing local reports on his personal blog and gradually brought in other journalists to build a small newsroom.
Today Kabar Cirebon has 12 field journalists spread across various districts, with a multi-layered verification process before stories are published to the public.
Two Sources, Then We Publish
Every story involving a claim or allegation must be confirmed by at least two independent sources before publication. We also publish open corrections if a factual error is found after publication, rather than quietly deleting it.
